Atlanta, GA – The Go Run Foundation, a non-profit organization and host of road races that support local charities and causes, has announced its first virtual run to raise funds for Color Of Change, the nation’s largest online racial justice organization and partner in the fight to end social injustice. 

Go Run Foundation organized this event after receiving inquiries and requests for a virtual run to raise funds to help end social injustice worldwide. As part of the virtual Run Around The World, all net proceeds generated will go to Color Of Change, the nation’s largest online racial justice organization, which is committed to helping people respond effectively to injustices in the world around us through its outreach to millions of members and decision in America. 

“At such a challenging time, we are proud to organize a virtual race in support of Color Of Change,” remarked Noel Ransom, Owner of the Go Run Foundation. “The Foundation is proud to support several local charities and causes, and the fight to end social injustice is one of the most pressing of our time. While the COVID-19 pandemic prevents us from organizing an in-person event, the virtual run will engage people and communities from across the world, uniting us all behind a universal cause.”

To participate in this virtual run, participants will register online as they would for a traditional in-person race, either as an individual or team. However, they will select their own distance (5k, 10k, or 15k) and race location, and get to complete their run to end social injustice anytime between September 1 and October 19. Participants will compete for the most miles run or walked, or the highest amount of money raised, and upload their results to the Go Run Foundation.

Open to participants worldwide, the Virtual Run Around The World will reach people and communities around the world. All participants will receive a t-shirt and the opportunity to participate in various challenges for prizes or medals. Participants will be encouraged to document their run or walk on social media and connect with other racers around the world, using #VRAW.
