Felt Right, a leading supplier of sound-dampening felt wall tiles, is proud to partner with and support Safe Passage Children’s Advocacy Center. Felt Right recently donated multiple sound-dampening wall panels to the non-profit helping victims who have experienced domestic violence, physical assault, and other trauma types.

Safe Passage director, Scott Coleman, had this to say on the donation, “We are so grateful for organizations like Felt Right who support survivors in our community and the mission of Safe Passage.” They continued, “This generous donation of sound dampening pads will help our CAC (Children’s Advocacy Center) by removing noise and adding a welcoming, fun background for the kids to look at during interviews and recording sessions.”

The Children’s Advocacy Center’s mission is to “reduce the impact of child abuse by bringing together law enforcement, child protection, forensic interviewers, prosecution, mental health, medical, and family advocacy professionals in a child-friendly setting.”

They continued to explain how Felt Right’s donation supports this mission by saying, “the donation helps create a comfortable environment with limited echoing and amplified noises, which is a key to obtaining information from victims and ensuring the victims feel safe.”

Felt Right’s wall tiles are estimated to have an NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) of 0.35, meaning they absorb as much sound as one-inch thick polyurethane foam. Tiles come in many different shapes, styles, and patterns, making it easy for people to create personalized indoor spaces that are appealing to children. In addition to the Children’s Advocacy Center, Felt Right’s pinnable tiles are in schools, nurseries, daycares, places of worship, and other kid-friendly places.

The Children’s Advocacy Center described its work towards creating a community free from violence as “providing resources for victims and making it easier to identify perpetrators and reduce domestic violence.” Preventing childhood trauma is an ongoing battle, but Safe Passage is committed to making a difference in children’s lives. The company provides a 24-hour crisis intervention network and offers its services free of charge.

Talley Goodson, the founder of Felt Right, had this to say about the partnership with Safe Passage, “We are super happy to be able to support the CAC. They have an amazing mission, and I love the idea that our products can help create a safe, comfortable environment for children.” Talley Goodson and his team are excited to contribute to CAC’s mission while continuing to find other ways Felt Right products can improve communities and make a difference in people’s lives.
