CareYaya Health Technologies announced today its selection as an award finalist in the highly competitive a2 Pilot Awards hosted by Johns Hopkins University’s Artificial Intelligence and Technology Collaboratory (AITC) for Aging Research. CareYaya has been recognized for its groundbreaking project YayaGuide, an AI-enabled mobile application delivering personalized training for professional and family caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

The awarded grant, pending final approval from the National Institute on Aging, would support CareYaya’s development and real-world evaluation of this first-of-its-kind caregiver education platform. Powered by optimized machine learning algorithms and conversational AI, YayaGuide provides bite-sized, adaptive micro-learning content to expand competencies for this critical workforce.

It can also be channeled as a workforce development tool, enabling a career pathway through upskilling student caregivers across the country.
